The Encinitas City Council recently gave its unanimous vote of confidence to the Encinitas Arts Culture and Ecology Alliance [EACEA] in its bid to become the Operating Partner of the Pacific View School site.

The EACEA is a consortium of local arts, cultural, civic and environmental entities, foundations and community leaders. Their mission is “to create a rich and dynamic visual, cultural and intellectual arts and ecology learning experience” at the restored school.

Learn more about Encinitas Arts, Culture and Ecology Alliance’s proposal for the historic school site. Meet members of the Alliance and view their conceptual drawings. Share your ideas. They want to hear from artists of all genres, Pacific View alumni and anyone curious about the project.

Clean & Green: Solar Saturday

Solar Saturday; City Climate Action Commission; EPS (polystyrene) ban

Clean & Greeners:  We want to make sure you know about these upcoming events and developments in Solana Beach.  Come out and show your support for environmental progress:

SOLAR SATURDAY, November 7th, sponsored by Sierra Club San Diego, the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church, and the City of Solana Beach … one-stop shopping for information on how to Go Solar, save money, and take advantage of Net-Energy Metering before the program runs outs.

Are you considering ROOFTOP SOLAR for your home or business?

Get all of your questions about residential or commercial rooftop solar answered on Saturday, November 7th from 9am to 11am at the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church, Debin Hall, 120 Stevens Ave (west on the Lomas Santa Fe exit off of I-5).

Solar companies, installers, lenders, and City staff will talk with you —in one convenient place—about feasibility, financing, payback and permits. You’ll  be able to collect information and hear short presentations to help you decide if NOW is the time to Go Solar.

Co-sponsored by Sierra Club San Diego, the City of Solana Beach and the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church.

Our goals are to encourage more rooftop solar installations across the county, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, help the City reach its climate action goals and save you money at the same time!
